NSI Gold Category 1

Your CCTV cameras are only as effective as the people monitoring them. With us, your security is in safe hands. Our CCTV remote monitoring centre is NSI Gold Category 1, the highest level of independent certification in the UK.

If there’s the slightest hint of trouble, SIA-licensed operatives will detect it and react within seconds to prevent damage before it happens.

CCTV monitoring whenever it’s needed

CCTV monitoring can be round-the-clock, out of hours, or when needed. We’re happy to take your lead.

Your CCTV system will be directly connected to a team of rigorously trained, SIA-licensed security professionals. Whenever suspicious activity is detected, they respond immediately and appropriately.

First, each alert is filtered and verified, so if it’s a false alarm you can be left in peace. When an alarm is genuine, they follow pre-defined protocols. Depending on the time of day, this could be:

  • Contacting a named keyholder
  • Sending CCTV footage for you to view live on a mobile phone or computer
  • Dispatching one of our mobile patrols to investigate
  • Issuing a live audio warning
  • Activating localised alarms and locking down access points
  • Calling in the emergency services for urgent attendance

All actions are time-stamped and logged. You’ll be sent a full report, while any relevant CCTV footage is saved and securely stored as evidence which can be used in court.

We’re here to recommend options which fit the budget, so call us on 0844 561 0578 or send a message.

The advantages of NSI Gold CCTV remote monitoring

There are a number of reasons why NSI Gold CCTV remote monitoring is a smart choice. Not least, the reduced cost of insurance premiums for commercial properties.

  • NSI Gold Category 1 is the gold standard for insurance compliance. It signifies maximum risk mitigation
  • Our service can unlock significantly lower insurance premiums
  • When our licensed operatives call the emergency services, the response is fast
  • We can seamlessly coordinate CCTV, fire alarms, intruder alarms, access control, keyholding and mobile patrols
  • You’re no longer disturbed by false alarms. We handle everything for you

Most importantly, it’s a powerful deterrent — especially if you’re suffering repeated break-ins. When there’s a consistently swift police response, intruders know they’ll be arrested. They lose interest and go elsewhere.

Key features of remote CCTV monitoring

In-house alarm receiving centre (ARC)

We have our own in-house ARC, mobile patrols and SIA-licensed security officers. With a direct line of communication, the incident response is extremely fast.

Less hassle, less risk

CCTV monitoring saves you the hassle of dealing with false alarms. It also eliminates the risk of untrained staff attending the scene and encountering an intruder.

Insurance compliance

Insurers impose strict requirements for commercial insurance. CCTV monitoring is proof of active risk mitigation, so it helps you meet those obligations.

Lower insurance premiums

Underwriters price their policies based on risk. By lowering the risk of an insurance claim being made, remote monitoring can lower your annual premium.

NSI Gold Category 1 certification

It’s the highest possible benchmark for a CCTV monitoring centre. NSI Gold is a reassuring guarantee that we meet the most rigorous standards available in the UK.

Instant action

Suspicious activity is assessed in real time. When the threat is genuine, our operatives react instantly, managing the threat before it escalates.

FAQs

You may have some questions about remote CCTV monitoring. We’ve answered some of the most common questions here, although please feel free to call us on 0844 561 0578.

What happens when CCTV or an alarm is triggered at my premises?

When an alarm or CCTV activation is received at the alarm receiving centre (ARC), our operators immediately assess the cause.

They then respond quickly and appropriately according to the type of activation. For example, operators could:

  • Contact the emergency services
  • Contact designated keyholders
  • Send one of our mobile patrols to investigate
  • Issue an audio warning, activate localised alarms and lock down access points

Operators keep detailed logs of every incident so you’ll know exactly what caused the alarm, and the actions taken in response.

Are your monitoring personnel licensed?

Yes. All monitoring staff hold a Security Industry Authority (SIA) license. They also receive ongoing CPD-accredited training specific to their roles.

As well as being SIA-trained, all monitoring personnel are vetted in accordance with BS7858 standards.

You have an in-house alarm receiving centre. Why is that an advantage for me?

Speed and efficiency, because there’s a direct line of communication between the problem and solution. We don’t have to wait for third parties, so response times are quicker. Our own mobile patrols and security officers can be at your premises before a situation escalates.

The efficiency is greater because our personnel will already be familiar with both your property and your escalation instructions. We know the site layout, CCTV camera positions, alarm locations, access procedures, business hours and normal patterns or activity.

Which types of businesses can you provide alarm and CCTV monitoring for?

Our monitoring service can be for virtually any type of business. Offices, warehouses, construction sites, residential developments, business parks, healthcare establishments, leisure facilities and more.

To check if your organisation can be covered, call the CSG team on 0844 561 0578.

Does the service have to be 24/7?

Not at all. It’s a flexible service. Monitoring can be at specific times of day or night, at weekends, just occasionally, or for particular days of the week. It’s entirely up to you.

Will your staff liaise with the emergency services if required?

If the situation requires a blue light response, yes they will. What’s more, because the callout has come from an accredited security company, the emergency response can be faster. They know it’s a genuine emergency, not a false alarm.
